Season 2 cancelled
We regret to advise that the NSJTA Match Committee has decided to cancel the Season 2, 2021 competition.
The recently released State Government Roadmap indicates community sport competition is unlikely to be able to resume until around 5 November 2021. As that would only leave a few weekends available before the end of school term, it does not leave enough time to hold a viable competition.
The Committee has also considered the health and safety of our players. As case numbers are predicted to peak in November and December, we believe some players may be reluctant to immediately return to competition play. We have therefore decided the most appropriate way forward is to cancel Season 2, 2021 and focus our attention on 2022.
We hope everyone stays safe, and look forward to returning to the court in 2022.
Season suspended
The NSJTA competition is currently suspended due to the lockdown announced by the State Government.
We will confirm when the competition will resume once we have further information about restrictions.
Round 3 matches cancelled
Due to the extension of the lockdown, this weekend’s Round 3 matches have been cancelled.
All matches will be recorded as a draw. Teams do not need to submit match results.
We will provide an update about Round 4 matches once we have further information about restrictions.
Round 2 matches cancelled
Following the announcement by the State Government of a seven day lockdown from 8.00 pm tonight, this weekend’s Round 2 matches have been cancelled.
All Round 2 matches will be recorded as a draw. Teams do not need to submit match results.
We hope to be able to proceed with Round 3 matches the following weekend, if the lockdown ends and restrictions allow.
