Road works affecting travel to clubs

There are major Roadworks happening throughout Hume Council. Please advise your teams of the following information.  Mickleham Road is still accessible to get into Craigieburn, although there are still roadworks happening there too.

  1. Access to Hume Tennis & Community Centre. Please check other routes during this time so please allow extra time to your journey

Construction crews are also adding new lanes along Aitken Boulevard (leads to Marathon Boulevard), which will be closed until February 28. Please seek alternative route.

  • Access to Craigieburn Tennis Club and Hume Tennis and Community Centre from the Hume Highway. Roadworks will be operating 24 hours per day 7 days per week.

Drivers will be able to access the Hume Highway by using local roads, as well as Grand Boulevard to the north and Somerton Road to the south.

Craigieburn Road will remain closed between the Hume Highway and Hanson Road until February 28 as part of a seven-week construction blitz to build a new freeway interchange. The seven-week construction blitz will see crews working 24 hours a day to add extra lanes to the intersection, which accommodates more than 28,000 vehicles a day. Please add extra time to your journey.

  • Mount Carmel Tennis Club

Just a reminder that there are roadworks all over Sunbury, so away teams may need to allow an extra 5 to 10 minutes travel.

Have a great season everyone.
