On the 4th, 5th & 6th of October the NSJTA played the Pat Pearce Shield @ the Hume Tennis Community Centre vs Waverley Tennis/ NEJTA & Eastern Region…. and we had a WIN! After 3 days of tough competition, we managed to come out on top, with great performances by all. Not having won this event since 2014, it was a fantastic effort by the team. Xavier Gowland was awarded the Bob Pascoe Shield – an award that recognises a player from NSJTA over the weekend that represents all that is good about our players in the NSJTA – good sportsmanship/ team player/ a player that other players look up to etc. Bob Pascoe was an integral part of the events team for many years and sadly passed away in 2010 (RIP) …. A well deserved award for Xavier. We want to thank all the players in the team / the parents and out team managers. We need to also thank our brilliant events team members in Mel Swale/ Julie Thompson / Brendon Noonan & Kym Baker. We also need to give a huge shoutout to Kale & Tim @ Hume for all their assistance in holding the event at Hume. Team events are a big part of our association and we hope our players continue to be a big part of this!
